Record sharing 96: Xiao Wang Can't Help Crying Out In The Injection Molding Factory: Polishing The Mold All Night, The Product Still Can't Work

Xiao Wang and Lao Wang in Yiwu are rare "father-son cooperation mode in mold factories. Lao Wang is responsible for receiving customers, running relationships and making the mold; Xiao Wang is responsible for the installation and test of the mold.
Yesterday, Xiao Wang called me to go to his factory. Recently, he got a new order, and the production is always not smooth. There are always rounds of "ant lines" on the surface of the product. He has been working on it all night, and the customer is in a hurry, but he still can't make it.

What Xiao Wang is adjusting is a mold for the shell of tail lights as shown in the figure above. The "ant line pattern" appears at the small grating, far away from the nozzle, but in the same direction as the melt flow.
The factory that makes transparent optical parts is most afraid of this kind of problem. Generally, the causes of this kind of problem are complex, and the machine adjusting technician will generally accuse the mold factory of poor polishing; the mold factory will say that the adjustment process is not good and the injection speed of filling mold cavity is not enough, resulting in the product cooling too fast. Then the mold technician and the machine technician prevaricate on each other.
1. Polishing process
Generally, when this kind of problem occurs, for the experienced factory, do not doubt the level of the adjusting technician at first. It is normal that there is a difference between the new mold and the original mold, but it must be noted that the mold is tested under the same production conditions.
Many mold technicians may not know that the effect of polishing along the flow direction and vertical flow direction is often very different. Generally speaking, if the "ant line" appears in the direction of the channel, the vertical channel polishing will get better results.
2. Injection rate
In the case that polishing can not be solved, the injection process can be considered, because each mold has its own specificity. This kind of "ant line" is mostly caused by the concentration of cold material. The multi-stage injection method can be used to concentrate the cold material in the flow channel as much as possible.
3. Air lines
Sometimes the "ant lines" are not all caused by cold materials, and the distribution along the flow path may also be air lines. This kind of air lines is usually difficult to distinguish. We can try to reduce the clamping force of the injection molding machine to see if the product surface is improved.
Xiao Wang changed the polishing direction of the mold, and it turns out to be solved.
