As a matter of fact, experts can easily distinguish that the long line in the middle of this kind of product is caused by the conflict of flow direction when the material flows. It is very simple to solve this problem following the steps below.
1. Check raw materials
The appearance of this kind of weld mark is closely related to the fluidity of raw materials. If the profit margin of the product is allowed, changing to ABS material with better fluidity can solve this problem as soon as other processes do not change.
Check whether there is discoloration near the welding line, which is sometimes related to the decomposition of color masterbatch of raw materials.
2. Increase mold temperature
Usually, the appearance of fusion line is due to the different flow velocity in the fluid, which make the gas can’t exhaust in time. If the conditions permit, the mold temperature can be increased to increase the fluidity of raw materials.
3. Changing the process
When all the above methods have been tried, this problem still can’t be solved well, you can choose the injection molding machine with higher injection speed and smaller clamping pressure. By improving the injection temperature can this problem generally be solved well.
