Black spots and impurities are common quality problems of injection molding products. However, some black spots with complex causes are the real headache for manufacturers.
Mr. Song of Jiangsu called to Taili Plastic Machinery and asked: black spots always appear on his products. He has cleaned up the three parts of barrel and screw, checked the raw materials, but the black spots still can't be removed. What should he do?
In fact, it is quite simple to solve this problem. The solution is as follows:
1. Non-mold injecting inspection
Black spots and impurities are mostly found on screw, barrel and raw materials. Most of the black spots can be inspected by non-mold injecting inspection. That is, move the injection seat back, start the injection action, make the injection machine inject into the air, and observe whether there are black spots and impurities in the air injected materials. If so, the screw, inner wall of barrel, purity and property of material should be checked respectively.
2. Observe the location of the black spots
If the location of black spots in the product is disorderly, and there are many black spots inside the product, it can be confirmed that the black spots are mostly produced before injection process.
If the black spots are mostly located on the surface of the product, it is very likely that they are produced during injection process. For the black spots produced during injection process, it is necessary to check the mold nozzle and mold slider to see whether the spots are caused by lubricant.
3. Mold impurities
Because black spot produced by the mold impurities is a very common problem, which is on the contrary very hard to solve. Because the temperature, pressure and speed of the melt during injection are too high, which impacts the mold surface to falls off and forms black spots. This kind of black spot usually appears in transparent products, and the amount of each occurrence is relatively small. Thus, this cause is not easy to find and solve.
If we find it hard to eliminate the black spots through hard inspections, it's very likely that it's due to mold impurities. In this case, we need to polish the mold, adjust or change the injection process, and use lower temperature, pressure and injection speed to produce, which will greatly reduce the possibility of occurence of black spots.
