It is always said that the profit of injection molding plant is low and hard to earn. But there is a kind of product whose terminal sales price is about 1000 yuan, while whose production cost is only 2 yuan. Is this a crazy wind outlet to follow or a sweet trap?
Generally, resin lenses are highly recommended by shop assistants in optical shops. They are popular with customers for their light weight, good light transmittance and easy coating. However, the actual cost behind the high sales price is only two yuan.

1. Mold temperature to be low or high
In Mr. Qian's factory, some machine debugging technicians were not specialized in making lenses. So from their general experience, they thought that the lower the mold temperature, the better to solve the shrinkage problem. But in fact, on the contrary, for the high-precision products and molds, generally we should use mold temperature machine, to make the internal and external parts of the product cooling at the same time, so as to solve the problem of lens shrinkage.
2. Storage temperature to be low or high
For the injection molding of lens, generally speaking, a 10-20 degree drop in the storage temperature will get a better effect. However, if the temperature drops too low, the cooling of the product will be accelerated and the temperature of the inner and outer layers will be different.
3. Filling speed to be fast or slow
Generally speaking, it is necessary to slow down the injection speed at the nozzle. But the faster the injection speed is, the better. But this is based on the premise that the filling pressure should not be too large. If the filling pressure is too high, the internal pressure can’t be removed during the later packing, which will further aggravate the shrinkage, deformation, bubbles and other problems.
We helped Mr. Qian debug the process and the surface of the product has been greatly improved. But in order to be perfect, the injection molding machine must be able to run slowly when the injection speed is 1 or 2 instead the tadpole lines will appear. Therefore, Mr. Qian's products are still a little far from perfect. Changing the injection molding machine will make it better.
