Mr. Wang of Yiwu Jinhua has always been engaged in the production of washbasins. Originally, he was mainly engaged in the wholesale ultra-thin washbasins with a single wall thickness of about 0.7mm and a weight of about 120g, which was mainly used as a gift in gas stations and supermarkets. We told Mr. Wang that making washbasin can also achieve a technology monopoly. Mr. Wang didn't believe it. Thus based on this product, we made the following plans:
1. Establish technical threshold on product structure
Generally, the thickness of the washbasin is about 2mm. But the thickness of the thinnest part of the washbasin designed by Mr. Wang is only 0.8mm, and the thickest part is 2.5mm. Particular treatment has been made in the stiffeners and wall thickness conversion. If the mold is developed in the same way according to the general injection production experience, the injection response speed of the injection molding machine is difficult to meet the requirements, and the normal production can't be realized. If the mold is developed according to the traditional mold development method, the weight of the product will increase by 30%, which will greatly decrease the sales profits.
2. Optimize the load gravity and use life
For this household washbasin, we specially optimized the load and bending strength test of this product. Generally, the basin can't bear more than 100kg. However, we optimized the raw material formula of this product, and reduced the injection temperature of the product to about 200 ℃, which is 30% lower than the peers. The PP plastic raw material's good characteristics were remained and the product made can bear 100kg without destructive deformation.
3. Reduce costs while not destroying the market with low prices
Many products are entering the Red Sea competition because some manufacturers set off the price war. Mr. Wang's washbasin can reduce the cycle time to about 10s, while the normal production of peers needs about 15s. Thus Mr. Wang can double the profit that of peers. Clearly he has the strength to fight price war, but doesn't fight price war. This is wisdom!
Now, Mr. Wang's product sales volume ranks first in the market of Taobao. Can we copy Mr. Wang's ideas? Different people have different opinions, but one thing is for sure. No innovation and no try. You should make sure you have the advantages to win the market.
