Cixi Ningbo is the hometown of small household appliances in China. But most of the manufacturers are engaged in OEM production, and few of them have their own independent brand and independent marketing team. Recently, a manufacturer of Cixi talked to me about his experience when he started his business. He said, "as a Ningbo native, I was once ridiculed for not being able to make high-end injection molding products all my life".
When speaking of this incident, Mr. Yu of Cixi mentioned that the incident happened 10 years ago seemed as if it happened just yesterday, and all the scenes were vividly in his mind. At that time, he was ridiculed by a German who came to China. He said that Cixi only plagiarized, never create. The high-end injection molding parts that their German equipment could make could not never be made in Mr. Yu’s injection molding factory.
Mr. Yu has been thinking about this matter for 10 years, but this time he was elated . This product is shown in the figure below. The foreign customer requires him to use the injection molding machines of a foreign brand. But the production requirements meet still can’t be met with the foreign brand injection molding machine.
The figure above is the profile of the customer's product. Under the light, it can be seen that the surface of the product is uneven due to the shrinkage of the reinforcing rib. As the mold has been made, the material is designated to be the PP material, and the melt index is only 8. The diameter of the runner is very small, so the samples taken by customers are full of shrinkage marks.
As soon as Mr. Yu got the product, he got the secret. In fact, we have helped Mr. Yu develop a similar product a long time ago. The shrinkage mark produced by the stiffener is difficult to solve through pressure maintaining. Because in the process of pressure maintaining, the raw materials have been cooled and sealed, so that the pressure can’t be transmitted smoothly, resulting in the product can’t be fed.
Therefore, when producing this kind of product, it is necessary to maintain a large injection speed during the mold filling process, so as to ensure that the melted material is not cooled and solidified during the pressure holding process, so as to smoothly conduct the pressure holding and complete the feeding action. If the injection speed is not fast enough, there is no way to solve this problem.
