At one o’clock in the morning of last night, the technician of the customer’s factory called me and said that there was always a piece of burnt in the products, and he couldn’t find the adjusting method.
Without saying anything, I just got up and arrived in the customer’s factory as soon as possible. When I arrived at the customer's factory, I saw the defection as shown in the figure below. The product they manufacture is small digital products, and the raw material used is AS. Because the product requirements are relatively high, there is zero tolerance for quality problems such as burnt.
The technician told me: “This product is very strange. If I set it according to the normal parameter, there will be burnt black lines at the nozzle. If the injection speed and injection pressure are slightly reduced, the product will immediately become dissatisfied. I adjusted it for a long time and didn't know where the problem lies exactly”.

In fact, the general solution to eliminating the burnt mark of the product is as follows:
 (1) Whether the air is trapped in the product
Under normal circumstances, if the mold is newly made and black burnt marks appear, generally we recommend to repair the mold. A slight polishing of the mold surface can solve the air trapping phenomenon. But in view of the situation in the factory, the previous production goes smoothly and the mold is not newly opened. Thus, the defection can’t result from mold problem.
(2) Whether the nozzle of the machine is blocked
As the raw materials are mixed with calcium carbonate and other secondary materials, another aspect to be considered is that the nozzle is blocked by other impurities, which make the occasional black burns appear. I immediately checked the injection nozzle of the injection molding machine. As expected, the nozzle was blocked by a few black impurities. After disposal, the product immediately returned to its normal work
