Lubricating oil for injection molding machine is just like engine oil for automobile. Although it can’t be seen from the surface, it is very important for the stability of injection molding machine. This goes the same as the really good after-sales service of injection molding machine, which is long lasting.
Mr. Li is an old friend of Taili Plastic Machinery, and I often visit his factory. At the end of March, I went to his factory. Due to the COVID-19, his adjusting technicians had not returned to work. He employed several temporary adjusting technicians to adjust the machine.
As usual, I checked the parameters, cycle, lubrication and other indicators of the machine. When I turned to the back of the machine, I was surprised to see that there was almost no lubricating oil left on the injection rod. I quickly went to inquire the technician about it. It turned out that the technician had just entered the industry and thought that if no alarm was set off, the machine then ran normally.
The filling frequency of the manual lubrication pump near the injection rod is not as high as that of the clamping parts, but it is also indispensable for the injection molding machine.
Lack of lubrication will lead to the following serious problems: broken injection piston rod, broken thrust seat, broken template, broken coupling, and so on. Once these problems occur, the machine must be stopped for repair, which greatly will affect the production efficiency and profit margin.
For the lubrication of injection molding machine, attention must be paid to the following aspects:
1. Pay attention to the impurities in the lubricating oil, which is easy to block the filter screen.
2. Pay attention to the sealing to prevent moisture from entering the lubricating pump which will result in lubrication failure.
3. Pay attention to the amount of lubricating oil during patrol inspection, and deal with problems in time.
